1. Right of Cancellation (Consumers Only)

   If you are a consumer (but not where you are purchasing the goods in the course of your business 'a Business Customer'), you have the right to cancel the contract at any time up to the end of seven working days after you receive the goods. A working day is any day other than weekends and bank or other public holidays. This right of cancellation does not apply to digital items which have been downloaded, any goods made to your specification or personalised at your request, or goods which by reason of their nature cannot be returned or are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly. Also you cannot cancel orders for the supply of audio or video recordings or computer software if they have been unsealed.

   To exercise your right of cancellation, you must give written notice to us by hand or post, fax or email, at the address, fax number or email address shown below, giving details of the goods ordered and (where appropriate) their delivery.

   If you exercise your right of cancellation after the goods have been delivered to you, you will be responsible for returning the goods to us at your own cost (unless we delivered the goods in error or if the goods are damaged or defective when delivered). The goods must be returned to the address shown below. You must take all reasonable care to ensure the goods are not damaged in the meantime or in transit.

   Once you have notified us that you are cancelling the contract, we will refund or credit you within 30 days for any sum that has been paid by you or debited from your credit card or other account for the goods.

   If you are a Business Customer you may not cancel or suspend the contract in whole or in part without our prior written consent and if we give our consent, subject to such terms and conditions as we may notify to you in writing.

2. Return Policy

   When returning goods, please return, unused, in the original box within 14 days. Mark your parcel 'Swim & Save' and clearly state your reason for the return on a copy of the original invoice sent with your order. All returns will be subject to an administration fee.

3. Exchange Policy

   The STA will exchange/credit account, for Badges, Certificates and catalogue items on the following basis:

   • They are returned within 3 months of purchase.
   • They are current awards (Badges & Certificates only) both syllabus and Presidential signature.
   • They are new, unused and in perfect condition.
   • The customer returns a copy of the Invoice/Despatch note relating to the returned items.
   • The customer agrees to pay an administration fee of 25% of the current value of the items being exchanged.
   • The customer pays the postage for the return of the items.

   Alternatively if the customer wishes to have a credit put to their account this will also be subject to an admin fee of 25%.

4. Membership Discount
   All STA members are entitled to 10% of all items in the STA Swim Shop. To obtain this discount members must contact the STA via either email at sales@sta.co.uk or by phone on 01922 645097 between the hours of 9.00am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday.
   STA staff will verify your details with the membership department and apply the discount to your account within 10 working days. All future orders from the date of approval will have the discount automatically applied. This discount can not be applied retrospectively. Please note: Member discount does not apply to sales prices.
5. Postage & Packing

   A postage and packing charge will be added to the value of the goods. For UK deliveries as detailed here. For delivery outside of the UK a delivery surcharge will be applied dependent upon location.

   For goods sent to Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands and UK offshore Islands: £20.00.

   For goods sent to ROI add £25.00.

   Please note for calculating postage and packing of badge orders, a single award comprising a badge and certificate is deemed to have a combined weight of 15gms (0.015kg).

6. Colours

   Colours of goods are as shown. Manufacturer's supplies may be subject to change.

7. VAT

   VAT will be added in accordance with the regulations and rate in force at the time of invoicing.

8. VAT on Training Equipment

   Resuscitation and training equipment purchased by a charity is free of VAT. Please contact us for details on price reductions. Our VAT number is 696 0380 11.

9. Bulk Discount for Awards

   A discount is given based on the value of the order for Awards as detailed.

10. Delivery Schedule

    In accordance with our BSEN ISO 9001: 2008 accreditation, we will process all orders by the end of the working day following receipt of your order. Orders will be delivered, usually by courier within a further 48 hours. If items area temporarily out of stock we will advise you. Certain special items will not be carried in stock. The manufacturer will deliver these direct.

11. Back Orders

    If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

12. Credit Card Security

    We know of no documented cases of credit card fraud using our shopping system over the Internet. All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.

13. Risk and Ownership
    1. Consumers

       Where you are dealing as a consumer you will become the owner of the goods you ordered and responsible for risk of loss of or damage to them once they have been delivered to you.

    2. Business Customers

       Where you are a Business Customer risk in the goods shall pass to you immediately on delivery to you or into custody on your behalf whichever is the sooner. Unless otherwise agreed in writing by us delivery is deemed to take place when the goods are despatched.

       Notwithstanding delivery and the passing of risk, property in and title to the goods shall remain in us until we have received payment of the full price of (a) all goods the subject of this contract and (b) all other goods supplied by us to you under any other contract whatsoever.

       Until property in and title to the goods passes to you and subject to your right to deal with the goods in the ordinary course of business:

       • You shall keep the goods properly stored, protected and insured and separate from all or any other goods whether belonging to us, you or any third party;
       • We shall be entitled at any time forthwith to revoke our power to deal with the goods; and it shall automatically cease if you become insolvent, are unable to pay your debts or otherwise cease to trade; and
       • You shall not make any modification to the goods or their packaging or alter remove or tamper with any marks, numbers or other means of identification used on or in relation to the goods.

       Upon termination of your power to deal with the goods you shall place the goods at our disposal and we and our servants and agents are hereby irrevocably authorised without the need for consent of any third party but using only such force as may be necessary, to enter upon any of your premises for the purpose of removing the goods.

14. Guarantee

    If for any reason the goods ordered do not meet with your satisfaction, simply return them, unused within 14 days and we will issue a refund for the goods returned. This guarantee does not affect your statutory rights. Please note that swimwear is delicate and should be rinsed in cold water immediately after use in a chlorinated pool. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions.

16. Privacy Policy

    The STA do not disclose buyer's information to third parties. Cookies are used on this shopping site, but only to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart once you have selected an item.

    Data collected by this site is used to:

    • Take and fulfil customer orders
    • Administer and enhance the site and service
    • Only disclose information to third-parties for goods delivery purposes
